2nd January 2005 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: w Wind Stength: 15 - 30 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 7 c Sea Temperature: dam cold Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived at brog with the wind blowing nicely but a lot colder than yesterday. I rigged 6.3 sail but I used large board as too cold for swimming with smaller one. The wind was a quite strong at times and way quite over powered in the gusts but good fun on the flat water I managed to get the old 150 lt board up to 33.9 mph but it was scary as hell and nearly ended up the bank (note to self don't try gybing at that speed) In the afternoon the wind got very inconsistant so it was into the club house to warm up then back out on the water when the wind blew. total miles 17 top speed 33.9 top of the speed list at brog at the moment way off the top speed of last year that which was 41 mph |
